Types of biomass burners
As a kind of new energy equipment, biomass burner has gradually been paid attention to and used, but gradually this type of equipment has also derived many categories, so how should we distinguish the types of these equipment when we buy it? Let’s analyze the more mainstream classification methods in the market
- According to the different classification of fuel used
There are many types of biomass fuels, but according to the shape of the fuel, the corresponding biomass burners can be divided into:
1.The biomass wood chip burner uses block fuel (such as wood chips, waste building templates, etc.), and the particle size of the fuel is generally controlled within 5cm. Of course, this type of equipment can also use biomass particle fuel, and all such equipment can also be used. It is called biomass multifunctional burner;
2.The biomass pellet burner uses pellet fuel. The diameter of pellet fuel is generally 6/8/10mm. The market is mainly 8mm. Various models are also the most common models on the market because the fuel has been It forms market circulation, which is convenient for storage and transportation, and is widely used;
3.Biomass sawdust burner: use powdered fuel (such as sawdust, rice husk powder, bamboo powder, etc.), and the particle size of the fuel is generally within 5mm. The combustion efficiency of this type of equipment is higher, but the fuel is not convenient to transport. , so this type of equipment is generally limited to the use of enterprises and individuals with similar fuel nearby;
4.Biomass wood powder burner: use fuel as powder fuel (such as sanding powder, wood powder, etc.), the particle size of the fuel is generally within 0.1mm, the combustion efficiency of this type of equipment is as high as 95%, and it is mainly suitable for wood. Processing plants and sheet metal manufacturers, because such scraps are used as fuel in the production process of such manufacturers, and there are also energy-consuming equipment such as boilers and dryers.
- According to the different classification of cooling methods
The main body of the biomass burner is generally the outer layer steel plate and the inner layer refractory material structure. During the normal combustion process in the furnace, the temperature can reach thousands of degrees, so the high temperature will extend to the outer layer steel plate. If the outer layer steel plate does not take cooling measures, The temperature of the furnace wall will also be too high. According to the principle of thermal expansion and contraction, high temperature will cause thermal deformation of the outer steel plate, reducing the service life of the main furnace, and also prone to burn accidents. Therefore, the outer wall of the main furnace of the biomass burner should be taken Cooling measures, the general cooling methods are divided into: water cooling and air cooling.
The outer wall of the main furnace of the biomass burner is generally made of double-layer steel plates, and the middle of the double-layer steel plates is an interlayer. The circulating water in the interlayer is water cooling, and the cold air is air cooling. The specific heat capacity of water is the largest, so the cooling effect and the effect of maintaining the temperature stability of the furnace wall are better than the air cooling effect. The air cooling is generally suitable for small burners with a calorific value of less than 600,000 kcal.
- According to the different classification of slag methods
The fuel of the biomass burner will produce a certain amount of dust after combustion, which is plant ash, but the plant ash will melt at high temperature (generally above 900 ℃) and form coke lumps. If it is not discharged in time, it will affect the combustion of the equipment. . Therefore, biomass burners can be divided into fixed grate (manual slagging) and movable grate (automatic slagging) according to the slagging method. According to the automation standard, the burner of the movable grate is more user-friendly, but the biomass burner of the movable grate is generally more expensive, so it should be analyzed according to the specific situation, and it is not the low-end burner of the fixed grate. On the contrary, the sales of fixed-grate burners will be better, because most biomass fuels are woody, and the amount of ash is very small, so it is not easy to form coke, so it is still necessary to choose according to the state of the fuel you use. . To sum up, the fuel with ash and slag content greater than 8% can use movable grate equipment, and the fuel with less ash content does not need to automatically slag, and the fixed grate can be used.
